G4v2 Patches. This track was lifted over to b73v4 from b73v3 from b73v3 by fsu-cgpm. This track displays G4-quadruplex patches along with G4-quadruplex motifs which make up the patch. A large number of G4 motifs were found to occur in clusters on the same strand. These patch motifs were defined by Andorf et al., (DOI: 10.1016/j.jgg.2014.10.004) three or more G4 motifs on the same strand within a 300 bp window, resulting in detection of 6,911 G4 motif patches. The Patch subtrack shows the patch regions from the 5' G of the 5'-most G4-quadruplex motif to the 3' G in the 3'-most G4-quadruplex motif. The data in this track has been projected onto the B73 RefGen_v3 assembly based only on its position in the B73 RefGen_v2 assembly. The changes between v2 and v3 are mostly comprised of new sequences inserted into gaps between contigs. While this method will correctly map data from v2 to v3, but will not annotate sequences that are unique to B73v3. The B73v3 data was lifted over to B73v4, with the same caveats. For deataile analysis in B73v3 or B734, we recommend that you run anew the G4 motif detection software noting a wide array of various programs are available.
